Bryan Carroll steps down as CEO of Vietnam’s TNEX Digital Bank

Bryan Carroll today announced that he is stepping down as CEO of Vietnam’s TNEX digital bank. He posted the news directly on his LinkedIn feed earlier today and indicated he will resign his position at the end of April 2023.

Bryan has led huge growth for TNEX since he founded the neobank (owned by parent company MSB) and has been widely lauded as a fantastic leader as he pushed the boundaries of the Vietnam banking marketplace.

He comments on his LinkedIn profile:

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the support that my family, my amazing team, Chairman, Board of Directors, investors, partners and customers have given me during this time. 🙏

I came to Vietnam in 2019 literally with a suitcase and an idea to found TNEX, the country’s 1st Digital Bank. TNEX now serves over 1.6 million customers and is recognised as one of the most innovative and technologically advanced platforms in Asia.

TNEX was never a job to me but a consuming passion to improve the everyday lives of the unbanked in Vietnam. Being part of the journey has made feel very emotional at times and a little proud.

Bryan will be remaining with TNEX on-going as he transitions to the bank’s board of directors.

TNEX is arguably one of the best examples of digital banking in the Asian banking marketplace, with the team crafting a unique approach to customer experience and leveraging some of the most modern banking services available (including services from Mambu and hosting via AWS).
