Bank of Japan Chief Cautions on Highly Uncertain Global Economic Outlook

The head of Japan’s central bank says the outlook for the global economy is highly uncertain.

Bank of Japan Governor Ueda Kazuo was speaking to reporters in India on Sunday. He will attend a two-day meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors from the Group of 20 nations that begins on Monday.

Ueda noted that the global economy has begun to slow down since last year as central banks have tightened their monetary policies in response to high inflation.
