The Bank of England should conduct a formal review of its quantitative easing stimulus program before using the tool to print money again, a leading UK economic think tank said.
Jagjit Chadha, director of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, said the impact of QE in the UK should be assessed to establish whether “other policies could have achieved the same or better results at less cost.”
