Fed Data Shows Rise in Bank Deposits and Lending in the Latest Week

Bank deposits, and lending rose in week ended July 26, the latest data from the Fed showed.

Deposits at large U.S. banks rose by $3.3 billion to $17.339 trillion from a week earlier, on a seasonally adjusted basis.

Commercial bank lending inched up by $12.6B to a seasonally adjusted $12.123 during the week, the Fed data showed.

Residential real estate lending fell $2.3B, commercial real estate loans were unchanged from a the week earlier, while consumer loans were up $1.6B from the prior week.
