Al Rajhi Bank has signed a strategic partnership with Salla, Saudi Arabia's leading e-commerce platform, to integrate its mokafaa loyalty programme across the platform's merchant network.
The integration enables shoppers across more than 60,000 Salla-powered online stores to earn and redeem Al Rajhi mokafaa loyalty points when making purchases. The partnership connects the bank's rewards ecosystem directly to the e-commerce checkout experience, giving Al Rajhi customers an incentive to use the bank's payment products for online shopping.
Salla, which provides turnkey e-commerce infrastructure to small and medium businesses in Saudi Arabia, has grown rapidly as the Kingdom's digital commerce market has expanded. The platform enables merchants to set up and operate online stores without technical expertise, and the Al Rajhi integration adds a financial services dimension to Salla's merchant offering.
For Al Rajhi Bank, the world's largest Islamic bank by market capitalisation, the Salla partnership deepens its engagement with the Saudi e-commerce ecosystem. The bank has been expanding its digital services and partnerships to maintain relevance as consumer financial behaviour increasingly centres on digital commerce and mobile payments.
The mokafaa loyalty programme serves as a customer retention tool that rewards spending across Al Rajhi's card and payment products. By extending the programme to Salla's merchant network, the bank expands the number of earning and redemption opportunities available to its customers.
The partnership reflects the growing convergence of banking, payments, and e-commerce in Saudi Arabia's rapidly digitising economy.
