Global financial services provider Apex Group has launched an AI-powered WealthTech platform designed to expand retail investor access to private equity, private credit, and alternative assets.

The platform enables wealth managers, private banks, distributors, and fund managers to offer clients investment opportunities in private markets that have traditionally been restricted by high investment thresholds and liquidity constraints.

Apex Group says the platform leverages blockchain and asset tokenisation to enhance transparency, security, and liquidity, while its global custody infrastructure spans over 50 countries.

Platform Capabilities

The WealthTech offering includes end-to-end digital onboarding, transactions, and KYC processes, alongside real-time data and performance reporting. The system uses AI to match investors with curated private investment opportunities while reducing administrative burdens through straight-through processing.

"By tokenizing private equity investments, we are enabling dramatically different liquidity options across multiple jurisdictions and time zones and transforming how the market will operate in the future," said Zion Hilelly, Group Chief Product Officer at Apex Group.

Market Opportunity

The launch targets anticipated growth in private market allocations. According to industry projections cited by Apex Group, private wealth allocations to private markets are expected to reach $5.1 trillion by 2030, with $105 trillion set to transfer between generations in the coming decades.

"WealthTech enables us to represent both traditional assets in digital form and create natively tokenized assets," said Daniel Coheur, Global Head of Digital Assets and Fund Distribution. "This opens new distribution channels, enhances liquidity, and broadens access to markets."

The platform forms part of Apex Group's broader Apex Digital 3.0 strategy. The Bermuda-headquartered company employs over 13,000 professionals globally.
