Saudi Arabia's Arab National Bank has completed a major upgrade of its core banking and front-end systems using Infosys Finacle's next-generation architecture, significantly improving operational agility and reducing branch transaction processing times.
The modernisation effort replaced ANB's legacy infrastructure with Finacle's platform, providing updated transaction processing, account management, and customer service capabilities. ANB said the upgrade has delivered measurable improvements in system performance, with branch transactions now processing substantially faster than on the previous platform.
Infosys Finacle, one of the largest core banking platform providers globally, deployed its latest architecture at ANB, incorporating modern design patterns including microservices, API-first connectivity, and cloud-ready deployment options. The platform supports the full range of ANB's retail, corporate, and treasury banking operations.
The front-end modernisation component of the project upgraded the interfaces used by branch staff and customer-facing channels, improving usability and reducing the training burden associated with the previous system. The combination of core and front-end upgrades ensures that improvements in processing speed are reflected in the customer experience.
ANB is one of Saudi Arabia's major banks, and its core banking upgrade is part of the broader technology modernisation wave sweeping the Kingdom's financial sector. Saudi banks have been investing heavily in technology infrastructure as they prepare for increasing competition from digital-only entrants and respond to growing customer expectations for digital-first banking experiences.
The Infosys Finacle deployment reinforces the vendor's presence in the Saudi market alongside Oracle and Temenos.
