Bank of Beirut UK Goes Live with Temenos Core and Payments

Bank of Beirut UK has successfully deployed Temenos Core and Payments following a 15-month migration from its legacy banking infrastructure, providing a modern, unified platform for its corporate banking and trade finance operations.

The migration replaces the bank's previous core system with Temenos's cloud-ready platform, which handles transaction processing, account management, payment operations, and regulatory reporting through a single integrated system. Bank of Beirut UK said the new platform will accelerate its corporate banking growth and enable it to scale its trade finance operations more efficiently.

The 15-month implementation timeline is notable for a full core banking migration, which can often extend to two or more years at comparable institutions. Bank of Beirut UK attributed the relatively efficient migration to Temenos's pre-configured banking capabilities and the disciplined approach of its implementation team.

Bank of Beirut UK operates from London and specialises in trade finance, corporate banking, and correspondent banking services connecting the Middle East with international markets. The Temenos platform provides the operational backbone needed to support these activities with modern processing capabilities and regulatory compliance tools.

The deployment adds to Temenos's growing list of UK-based banking clients and demonstrates the platform's suitability for specialist banks focused on trade finance and corporate services. These institutions have specific requirements around multi-currency processing, documentary credits, and complex payment routing that not all core banking platforms can accommodate.
