BankDhofar and Mastercard Forge Strategic Collaboration to Transform Payment Solutions in Oman

BankDhofar has entered a strategic partnership with Mastercard to transform its payment solutions across both its conventional and Islamic banking operations, bringing advanced fraud protection, global acceptance, and digital payment technologies to its card portfolio.

The alliance covers BankDhofar's full banking franchise, including its Dhofar Islamic banking window, ensuring that customers across all product lines benefit from the enhanced payment capabilities. Mastercard's technology will be integrated across the bank's debit, credit, and prepaid card products.

The partnership brings Mastercard's advanced fraud prevention tools to BankDhofar's transaction monitoring, providing AI-driven detection capabilities that protect cardholders from increasingly sophisticated fraud attacks. The global acceptance network ensures that BankDhofar's cards are accepted at Mastercard merchants worldwide.

The digital payment dimension of the partnership includes support for mobile wallet provisioning, contactless payments, and e-commerce authentication technologies. These capabilities build on BankDhofar's existing digital payment infrastructure, which includes the Dhofar Pay NFC service and its Entrust digital card platform.
