KFH Revolutionizes In-Branch Banking with NCR Atleos AI Avatars

Kuwait Finance House has collaborated with NCR Atleos to deploy hyper-realistic conversational AI avatars in its self-service kiosks, transforming the in-branch customer experience through AI-driven visual interaction.

The pilot programme places AI avatars in KFH's smart branch kiosks, where they interact with customers using natural conversation and realistic visual presentation. The avatars can assist with banking enquiries, guide customers through transactions, and provide product information through a conversational interface that mimics human interaction.

NCR Atleos, a global leader in self-service banking technology, provides the hardware and AI platform for the avatar deployment. The avatars use speech analytics and natural language processing to understand customer queries and respond in real time, creating an experience that is more engaging than traditional screen-based kiosk interfaces.

KFH said the AI avatars build on its earlier deployment of the Fahad virtual assistant and its broader strategy of using AI to enhance customer service across all channels. The in-branch avatars add a physical dimension to the bank's AI customer service capabilities, complementing the virtual assistant available through digital channels.

The deployment reflects KFH's willingness to experiment with emerging AI technologies in production banking environments. While AI avatars remain relatively novel in banking globally, KFH's pilot positions it as an early adopter of a technology that could become more widespread as AI visual and speech capabilities improve.

The pilot will be evaluated for expansion across KFH's broader branch network.
