Kuwait Finance House Unveils Major Update to KFHOnline App with Smart Banking Services

Kuwait Finance House has announced a comprehensive update to its KFHOnline mobile app, introducing a redesigned homepage, instant digital card issuance, and virtual prepaid card functionality alongside its existing suite of more than 200 banking services.

The redesigned homepage provides customers with a personalised dashboard that surfaces relevant account information, recent transactions, and contextual offers based on individual banking activity. KFH said the update reflects customer feedback requesting a more intuitive and visually streamlined app experience.

The instant digital card issuance capability allows customers to generate new debit and prepaid cards directly within the app, with the digital card available for immediate use in mobile wallets and online payments before a physical card arrives. Virtual prepaid cards extend this functionality by enabling customers to create temporary or purpose-specific cards for online shopping.

KFH has been systematically expanding the capabilities of its mobile app, which now serves as the primary banking channel for the majority of the bank's customer transactions. The update builds on the bank's earlier achievements in digital banking, including biometric authentication, self-service kiosks, and the integration of Kuwait's WAMD instant payment system.

The app update positions KFH to compete with both traditional banking rivals and emerging digital-first entrants in Kuwait's banking market. As one of the world's largest Islamic banks, KFH's digital investments demonstrate that Sharia-compliant banking can be delivered through the same modern digital channels as conventional banking services.
