Cloud banking platform Mambu has officially launched Mambu Payments, expanding its composable architecture with an end-to-end payments hub that allows financial institutions to integrate native payment capabilities alongside their core banking systems.
The API-first platform enables banks and fintechs to process payments, manage payment flows, and connect to payment networks through a single integration point. Mambu said the payments hub is designed to work seamlessly with its existing core banking and lending products, creating a comprehensive banking technology stack from a single vendor.
Mambu Payments supports multiple payment types including instant payments, direct debits, credit transfers, and card transactions. The platform's composable design allows institutions to select and deploy only the payment capabilities they need, adding additional modules as their requirements evolve.
The launch addresses a common pain point for financial institutions running modern core banking platforms: the need to integrate separately with multiple payment processors and networks. By offering payments as a native component of its banking platform, Mambu reduces the integration complexity and maintenance overhead for its clients.
Mambu has built a significant client base among digital banks, fintechs, and traditional banks undergoing digital transformation. The company's cloud-native, SaaS-delivered platform has been particularly popular with institutions launching new digital banking propositions where speed to market is a priority.
The payments launch positions Mambu as a more comprehensive competitor to established core banking and payments vendors that have traditionally offered these capabilities as separate products.
