Saudi AI company Mozn has launched agentic AI capabilities within its flagship FOCAL platform for financial crime prevention, introducing autonomous case investigation and dynamic risk scoring at the Seamless Middle East conference.
The agentic AI integration enables FOCAL to conduct independent investigations of suspicious activity alerts, gathering evidence, analysing transaction patterns, and producing comprehensive case reports without human intervention for routine cases. The system escalates complex or high-risk cases to human analysts with pre-assembled evidence packages that accelerate manual review.
Dynamic risk scoring uses the agentic capabilities to continuously reassess customer and transaction risk profiles based on evolving patterns, rather than relying on static risk scores that are updated periodically. This real-time approach enables financial institutions to detect emerging threats faster and adjust their controls accordingly.
Mozn said the agentic AI capabilities set a new standard for financial crime prevention in the region, addressing the growing volume and sophistication of financial crime threats that traditional rule-based and even conventional machine learning systems struggle to handle effectively.
The FOCAL platform is used by major financial institutions across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf for anti-money laundering compliance, fraud detection, and sanctions screening. The addition of agentic AI represents the most significant capability upgrade since the platform's launch.
The Seamless Middle East conference provided a high-profile stage for the announcement, with the event attracting payments, fintech, and banking professionals from across the region.
