NBK Deploys Microsoft Copilot Across All Divisions to Empower Workforce

National Bank of Kuwait has announced the successful enterprise-wide rollout of Microsoft Copilot, embedding generative AI into daily operations across all divisions of Kuwait's largest bank.

The deployment provides NBK employees with AI-powered assistance for document drafting, data analysis, presentation creation, and email management through Microsoft's Copilot tool, which is integrated into the Microsoft 365 suite that the bank's workforce already uses. NBK said the rollout has delivered significant productivity improvements in tasks that previously consumed substantial employee time.

The enterprise-wide scope of the deployment distinguishes NBK's approach from the more limited AI pilots that many banks have conducted. Rather than restricting Copilot to specific departments or use cases, NBK has made the tool available across all divisions, reflecting confidence that the productivity benefits justify broad deployment.

NBK said the Copilot integration enhances employees' ability to analyse large datasets, draft complex documents, and generate insights from internal information more quickly than manual methods. The bank has provided training programmes to ensure employees can use the tool effectively and understand its limitations.

The deployment builds on NBK's existing digital strategy, which has seen 97.9% of customer transactions migrate to digital channels and a fourfold increase in mobile app feature launches. The Copilot rollout extends the bank's technology investment from customer-facing channels into internal workforce productivity.

NBK's enterprise-wide AI deployment positions the bank as one of the most advanced AI adopters among Kuwaiti financial institutions.
