Shoutt.ai Raises £525k to Build AI-Powered Job Discovery Platform for Freelancers
AI-powered gig-hunting platform Shoutt.ai has secured £525,000 in funding from SFC Capital and angel investors to expand its service helping freelancers discover personalised work opportunities across the web.
The platform uses an always-on AI agent trained by human experts to identify and deliver relevant gigs to freelancers, giving them first-mover advantage on opportunities. According to the company, the average freelancer wastes at least six hours per week searching job boards and social media, resulting in potential losses of up to £10,000 per year.
Founded by Saleem Yaqub and Jonathan Eadie, Shoutt.ai operates on a freemium model with transparent pricing and no hidden fees. The free tier identifies potential matches, with users only upgrading when they find opportunities worth pursuing.
Investment Focus
The funding will enable Shoutt.ai to enhance its service while scaling to reach more of the estimated 1.6 billion freelancers working globally.
"We built Shoutt to flip that dynamic," said Saleem Yaqub, CEO of Shoutt.ai. "Our goal is to give freelancers back control over their time, their income, and the work they choose to take on. This funding lets us keep building the infrastructure freelancers actually need to run independent, sustainable businesses on their own terms."
Technical Approach
Jonathan Eadie, CTO of Shoutt.ai, explained that the platform addresses fragmentation in the freelance economy by "acting as an intelligent layer across the entire market—constantly scanning, filtering, and structuring live opportunities into a single, personalised feed."
Ed Stevenson, Principal at SFC Capital, commented: "We're excited to back Saleem and Jonathan as they tackle a real problem for freelancers. Their AI-driven approach saves gig workers valuable time and money."
