Stripe unveiled more than 50 product updates at its annual Sessions conference, including AI-powered payment optimisations, a doubling of supported payment methods to over 100, and significant upgrades to its marketplace platform.

The centrepiece announcements included new AI tools that automatically optimise checkout flows and payment routing to maximise conversion rates for merchants. Stripe said the AI models analyse transaction patterns across its network to determine the most effective payment method presentation and processing routes for each customer interaction.

The expansion to over 100 supported payment methods reflects Stripe's push to serve merchants operating across diverse global markets, where local payment preferences vary significantly. The additions include regional bank transfers, buy-now-pay-later options, and mobile wallet integrations across Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
