Web3 lifestyle app SyFu has partnered with open banking provider Salt Edge to integrate credit and debit card payment data from over 5,000 banks in more than 50 countries.

The integration enables SyFu users to transform real-world spending into digital assets in real time without changing their existing payment methods, bridging traditional finance with Web3 experiences.

Payment Data to Digital Assets

SyFu operates at the intersection of DePIN (Decentralised Physical Infrastructure Network) and GameFi, converting payment data into NFTs and tokens through gamified mechanics. The platform combines non-custodial wallets, decentralized IDs, and Soulbound Tokens to reward everyday spending with verifiable on-chain value.

"This partnership is a major step toward the new society SyFu envisions—one where spending itself becomes an asset," said Tomochika Kamiya, Founder of SyFu.

Global Expansion

The integration leverages Salt Edge's FCA AISP license and ISO 27001 certification, enabling SyFu's international expansion without requiring separate local licensing in each market. The partnership also opens enterprise opportunities for NFT-driven loyalty programmes and purchase-based rewards.

"This partnership exemplifies how fintech infrastructure can power entirely new digital economies," said Virgiliu Bodrug, Open Banking Solutions Expert at Salt Edge.

SyFu is currently in public beta on testnet, with mainnet launch approaching. Salt Edge provides financial API solutions integrated with over 5,000 institutions across more than 50 countries.
