TBC Uzbekistan Reaches 1 Million Milestone with Flagship Debit Card TBC Salom
TBC Bank Uzbekistan (TBC UZ), the country's largest digital bank and part of TBC Uzbekistan's market-leading digital banking ecosystem, has issued more than 1 million TBC Salom cards — its flagship debit card and daily banking product — in just over one year since its rollout.
TBC Salom has grown rapidly since its launch in November 2024, as TBC UZ cements its position as the leading digital bank for retail customers in the country. It is becoming the key entry point into TBC Uzbekistan's wider ecosystem and one of the most popular daily banking products on the market.
TBC Uzbekistan continues to expand into new high-growth consumer and business segments, bringing a range of new products to market such as the TBC Osmon credit card, TBC Insurance and SME lending. TBC Salom acts as a crucial cornerstone, attracting new customer cohorts and unlocking opportunities to convert them into higher-value multi-product users.
Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Uzbekistan, commented: "TBC Salom has set a new benchmark for everyday banking in Uzbekistan, with strong demand demonstrating consumers' preference for simple, accessible digital banking services. We're continuing to expand our product offering in line with this principle, taking the hassle out of financial services and enabling customers to handle all their daily needs in one convenient place."
Demand for TBC Salom has been driven by its seamless onboarding process, with card issuance and delivery free-of-charge, as well as its range of benefits including 12% interest on balances, full reimbursements for cash top-ups and ATM withdrawals, and 5% cashback with partner merchants.
TBC Uzbekistan expanded TBC Salom's capabilities through a partnership with Visa in November 2025. The new Visa-issued TBC Salom unlocks additional benefits like 1% cashback on all purchases and 5% cashback on payments made via international marketplaces such as Taobao and AliExpress.
TBC Uzbekistan is the leading digital banking ecosystem in Central Asia and part of London-listed TBC Bank Group. The company comprises TBC UZ, the country's largest digital bank; Payme, a digital payments app; TBC Nasiya, a fast-growing instalment credit business; and TBC Insurance, its fully-digital insurance offering. TBC Uzbekistan reached profitability two years after launch and has scaled its user base to 22 million unique registered users.
