AccessPay, the Manchester-based bank integration provider, has appointed Johan Jardevall as chief executive officer. He succeeds Anish Kapoor, who becomes Chairman after more than a decade leading the company.

Jardevall brings more than 25 years of experience leading and scaling enterprise software and SaaS businesses across Europe and the UK, spanning operational leadership, customer delivery, strategic growth and product commercialisation. Most recently he was CEO of Person Centred Software, which he led through a significant phase of operational and commercial growth.

The transition follows AccessPay's recent strategic majority investment from Accel-KKR and marks the next phase in the company's evolution. Kapoor will remain a major shareholder and board member, working closely with Jardevall, the management team and the board on M&A, product strategy and key partnerships.

Since becoming CEO in 2014, Kapoor oversaw AccessPay's transformation from an early-stage business into a recognised fintech infrastructure provider supporting organisations across more than 100 countries, building a bank integration platform that connects corporate finance teams to their banks.

The leadership change, coming shortly after a private equity backer took a majority stake, points to an ambition to scale the business further as demand grows for automated, secure connectivity between enterprises and the banking system.
