TBC Group Wins Multiple Global Finance Innovators Awards Across Georgia and Uzbekistan
TBC Bank Group, the London-listed digitally led financial services provider operating across the Caucasus and Central Asia, has been recognised across three categories at Global Finance's 2026 The Innovators Awards, with wins spanning both its Georgian and Uzbek businesses.
TBC Georgia, the country's largest financial services group, was named Most Innovative Bank in Central and Eastern Europe. The award reflects a run of first-of-its-kind products the bank brought to market throughout 2025.
The Georgian business also picked up a Top Financial Innovation award for Central and Eastern Europe for its AI Mini and Micro Loan Issuance Assistant. The tool uses AI to automate small-scale lending decisions, replacing a previously manual process and sharply reducing time to disbursement.
TBC Uzbekistan, positioned as Central Asia's leading digital financial ecosystem, was recognised in the Top Financial Innovation category for Asia-Pacific. The award was given for Lola, described as Central Asia's first AI banking assistant. Built on TBC Uzbekistan's own Uzbek-language large language models and speech technology, Lola operates as a text-based (and later voice-based) "private banker in your pocket", bringing conversational and relationship banking into a digital interface and giving customers both transactional and informational support.
Vakhtang Butskhrikidze, CEO of TBC Group, said the recognition underlined the group's commitment to using technology to broaden access to financial services across its markets.
The triple win at the Global Finance Innovators Awards adds to a growing innovation track record for TBC Group, which has built its position in Georgia and expanded aggressively into Uzbekistan over the past several years on the back of a digital-first model. The group's strategy leans heavily on proprietary AI, in-house language models and mobile-first customer experiences, areas the Global Finance judging panel singled out in this year's awards.
