Tide, the UK-based business management and finance platform, has crossed two million members worldwide, marking a significant milestone in its drive to support and grow small businesses across multiple markets.

The challenger has built much of its scale at home, where it now serves around 900,000 small businesses and holds roughly a 15 percent share of the UK market. But the company says its next phase of growth is being powered overseas, and India in particular. Since launching there in December 2022, Tide has added more than 1.1 million small businesses, making the country its fastest-growing market by member acquisition.

The milestone comes as Tide expands its international footprint following a strategic investment from global asset manager TPG in late 2025, a deal that valued the company at $1.5 billion. The platform now operates across the UK, India, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Serbia, employing more than 2,800 people. In its newer European markets, Tide says it has already disbursed over 50 million euros through its credit intermediation offering.

Tide positions itself as an all-in-one platform for small and medium-sized enterprises, combining business registration, accounting and administrative tools, payments, lending, payroll, insurance and savings accounts in a single product. The company frames the two million figure as evidence that getting product-market fit right is central to expanding into new territories.

"We are delighted to be crossing the 2 million member milestone. This number is a testament to the trust that our members place in us in all our markets," said Oliver Prill, Chief Executive Officer of Tide. "Behind every number, there's a story of a member choosing a simpler, less time-heavy, connected way of managing their business."

Prill singled out the company's performance in India as a standout. "India's growth in member numbers is phenomenal, and shows how getting the product-market fit right when considering new markets is crucial," he said, adding that the result reflected "the passion our teams bring to their role every day."

The company has also tied its growth to wider commitments, including onboarding more than 200,000 women-led businesses in the UK ahead of schedule and targeting 500,000 women entrepreneurs in India by the end of 2027. Tide has maintained a Net Zero commitment since 2022.
